Our Mission
St. Ephrem Church is the first Chaldean parish in the United States. Established in 1904. The current building was built in 1962 for 70 families. A total of 10 pastors have served the parish, with the current pastor being Fr. Hermiz Haddad.
St. Ephrem Chaldean Catholic Church is part of the Chaldean Catholic Eparchy of St. Thomas the Apostle in the United States. It serves the Chaldean Catholic community in the Chicago area, offering regular liturgies, sacraments, and community activities. The church is known for preserving and celebrating Chaldean liturgical traditions and the Aramaic language, the traditional language of the Chaldean rite. It often organizes cultural and spiritual events for the community.
